This is the 2nd weekend of a sea kayak course. But if numbers allow, you're welcome to come along on just this weekend. It should be a gentle paddle for a couple hours to a gorgeous camp site. How far, and where we go, will depend on conditions.

Dave Winkworth and a friend will provide instruction, with myself and any other experienced people helping. Dave W used to be the examiner for the highest level of sea-kayak instructor, and has done a lot of expedition paddling. So there should be ample opportunity for more experienced paddlers to learn stuff too. We can tailor the weekends to the needs of those who sign up.
We'll do one weekend of technique training, paddle techniques, packing and gear/safety requirements, basic navigation, ocean awareness, rolling, assisted re-entries, towing, surf technique, sailing, etc. depending on what skill level people are at.
The second weekend (this one) will put those skills into operation, and we'll paddle somewhere and camp overnight. It'll be suitable for novices, so don't be put off if you don't have much experience. We will do some training sessions on the lake beforehand.
Both weekends will probably be around Tathra/Eden.
Let me know if you're allergic to jellyfish, bees, Orca's or shellfish.
Will let you know the maps when we know where we're going.
